Christine Bleakley is a Northern Ireland television star, presenting the ‘One Show’ on BBC One. Christine was born on January 20 th 1980. Bleakley’s career did not start off on screen though; she started as a floor cleaner at the station while training at Bloomfield Collegiate School in Belfast. She worked at BBC NI, whilst studying politics. When an opportunity presented itself, Christine decided not to pursue the political career and instead went to work in television fulltime. She started with several shows, but her biggest success was ‘Sky High’ as a solo career. In the series she flew around Northern Ireland in a helicopter. She was also on ‘First Stop’, ‘Would You Pass the 11+’, and ‘Children in Need’.
Currently Christine Bleakley is dating Jonathan Beech. Jonathan Beech is a sportsman, age 28. Her most notable relationship was with Curtis Bowen though, a Belfast Giants hockey player. She was engaged to Christian Stokes, but that ended in 2005. Surprisingly they were engaged in 2003, just four months after her split with Bowen
In 2008 she signed up to be on Strictly Come Dancing, and was partnered with Matthew Cutler. Unfortunately Christine Bleakley, despite some decent scores, was forced off the show on November 30 th , when Rachel Stevens out danced her during the dance off competition. Bleakley performed best in the Jive, Waltz and Salsa. She scored 34 out of 40 on the waltz. Her other scores were above 22, but they were marginal compared to other dancers on the show.
