As week 12 worked its way to the start, fans of Strictly Come Dancing were given the scores. On December 5 th , the news was alive with who had the best average up to the dance off. With four pairs left, it looked like a pretty tight match.
Austin and Erin were leading with an average of 34.4. Their highest score before week 12 was 38 with the tango in week 8 and the paso doble in week 11. Austin scored the lowest mark of 29 for the rumba in week 8, but it still did not hurt his chances in week 12.
Rachel and Vincent were the second highest average with 34.3. Rachel, in all the weeks of dancing, never scored lower than a 30 for any one dance. In fact, in week 10, she was given a score of 40 for her foxtrot. Rachel and Vincent were clear favourites going into the dance off for week 12.
Tom and Camilla averaged 33.9 before the dance off. Tom received his highest score for the quickstep in week 8 with a score of 36. He then hit another 36 with the tango in week 10. Week 11’s waltz was not the best with only one ten from the judges. Overall, his lowest score was week 1 with a 28 for the cha cha.
Lisa and Brendan, though they were still in the competition, only started week 12 with an average of 33. Lisa had the lowest score with her salsa, only ranking 22 points. However, she worked hard for the cha cha and Viennese waltz, keeping her in the game.
