The Judges Week 4

Week four was all about the boys and girls competing against each other in the men’s versus women’s dance off.  They also had their own pair dances to get through with the judges working towards voting another pair off at the end of the week.

To start the week off, we had Christine and Matthew on the floor with their foxtrot.  Len was particularly happy with the foot work of the couple. Craig thought it was lively dancing.  He also felt it was cheeky, but Arlene did not think there was enough sparkle.  Overall, the couple scored 26.

Jodie and Ian were up next with the rumba.  Jodie was said not to give enough emotion during the dance despite looking great.  In fact, Bruno saw several points where she had to pause in order to move on to the next step.  The couple earned a disappointing 22.

Heather was seen as the “Queen of Salsa” in week three, but she just could not bring the moves to the quickstep.  Ian, her partner, was not fluid in his movements, but tight, which threw Heather off.  They only scored a 23.

Cherie and James were one of the best couples of the night with the rumba.  Cherie and James managed to get everything they needed into the dance.  Arlene said that she had a lump in her throat as she watched James dance so tenderly.  The pair earned a 35 with 9’s and 8’s from the judges.

Jessie and Darren did the quickstep, but the posture was wrong and everything went to pieces.
