There were ten couples to dance in week 7 and it was a difficult time for some of the dancers. The judges watched all ten pairs dance throughout the week with a final performance for the last pair on Saturday.
The first pair to dance was Austin and Erin. They were doing the quickstep with a definite delivery, according to the judges. Craig was a bit harsh overall, but the judges awarded Austin a score of 36.
Heather and Brian were up next with the cha cha, and, yet again, the judges were disappointed. Arlene thought the performance was rather slow and not to the beat at all. A disappointing score of 23 was awarded.
Jodie and Ian offered a snazzy waltz to “ Sandy’s Song” sung by Dolly Parton. The judges were happy with the performance, giving it a 31. Andrew and Ola were the most disappointing for the week though. Andrew was unable to move to the music with the pain radiating from his knee. It was the lowest score of the series for the couple at a 21.
Lisa and Brendan offered the tango with a fantastic performance, according to the judges. They earned a 35. Cherie and James were equally disappointing when compared to Heather and Andrew earlier. The salsa just was not what the judges wanted to see, offering a 26.
John and Christine had the lowest score for the night with a 20. The foxtrot just was not John’s best dance, but, of course, he struggled through many weeks.
